About Visa Pilot
A plain-English guide to Australian visas: what each one is for, what the process actually involves, and when it's worth paying a registered migration agent.
Why we built this
Australian immigration is genuinely confusing. There are dozens of visa subclasses, the rules change often, and most of what you find online is either an official page written for caseworkers or a sales pitch dressed up as advice. It's hard to figure out where you stand before you've already spent money.
Visa Pilot is the page we wished existed: what each visa is for, who it suits, roughly what it costs, and what tends to trip people up. Read as much as you want without making an account. When you decide you need a professional, we'll introduce you to registered migration agents near you.
Know which visas exist
See which visa subclasses match your goal and what each one requires, so you can have a better first conversation with an agent.
Guides that answer the question
The main visas explained in plain English: employer sponsored, skilled, student, partner and visitor. Current Home Affairs charges, checked against the official price list.
No surprises in the process
The steps, the documents, and the common reasons applications are refused. You'll know what's coming before you start.
Help when you actually need it
When your case needs a professional, we introduce you to up to three registered migration agents close to you. Every agent we name is shown with their MARN.
How it works, and how we make money
The guides, the chat and the city pages are free, with no account and no paywall. We'd rather you read everything and decide you don't need us than gate it behind a sign-up.
When you do want professional help, we introduce you to registered migration agents near you. Agents in our network may pay us a referral fee. We only refer to agents registered on the OMARA register (Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority). That fee is how the free side stays free — we're telling you so you can weigh it for yourself.
Important Disclosure
Visa Pilot provides general information only — this is not immigration assistance. Agents in our referral network may pay us a referral fee. We do not verify the quality of an agent's advice, and no one can guarantee a visa outcome. Always check an agent's MARN on the official OMARA register before engaging them.
For registered migration agents
If you are a registered migration agent, you can join our referral network to receive enquiries from people near you who are ready for professional help, filtered to the visa types you handle.

Who builds Visa Pilot
Visa Pilot is built and run by Keinu, a small software studio. We're not an immigration agency and we don't employ migration agents — we build the tools and guides, keep the information current, and introduce people to registered agents when they ask. You can see our other work at keinu.com.
